Service Description

This lighting design journey starts with the preparation of a fee proposal where we will study the plans and prepare an outline cost based on the project’s scope. Brief: Once agreed, the project will begin with a project kick-off meeting involving all relevant design team members to discuss various important details of the project. Concept: Interpreting the brief, we will present the concept designs, consisting of concept lighting plans illustrating the positions of lights, and mood board presentations containing samples of all proposed finishes as well as imagery of suggested fittings. This is a very collaborative stage and we invite our clients to give as much feedback as possible to ensure we are on the right page. Detail: Following the concept, we will prepare a full set of lighting and CAD plans which detail the exact location of all fittings with a specification of technical information and supply quotation, based on a selected collection of fittings. This would include all the light fittings, drivers and controls. Realisation: We will produce a final issue of all the signed off project documentation for the team on site to carry out the installation. The schedule of works will be outlined and agreed. Works will commence and we will attend regular site meetings to ensure our designs are being carried out to their exact specifications and that the project is progressing as planned as well as oversee snagging during the snagging period. It is essential for the delivery of a successful project for our lighting design team to be fully aware of changing site conditions and architectural elements in practice. Commission: Once installed, we will conduct a final site visit to finesse the lighting by programming lighting scenes and adjusting any minor tweaks to allow our client to enjoy their property with peace of mind.
